Refined Opulence Laundry
The Challenge
The challenge was a drab, yellow laundry and mudroom that felt uninspiring and was in desperate need of a refresh. The space lacked proper organization, and the client required significantly better storage and functionality to serve as a proper transition point for the home.
The Vision
The vision was to create a softer, more elegant feel that included a dedicated bench seat for the mudroom area. Gold accents were requested to elevate the aesthetic, along with the requirement for new, durable, warm wood flooring that could withstand the high-traffic nature of the room.
The Solution
The solution was to install custom cabinetry in a soft, "clean" green, packed with functional features such as a fold-out ironing board, integrated laundry bins, and a combination broom and pantry closet. Along the long wall, a bench seat was integrated with narrow-depth storage specifically designed for shoes, boots, hats, and gloves. A beautiful, soft, organic wallpaper was added to provide a touch of elegance to the elongated room, creating a stunning first impression when entering the home.
